FATTIH MARKETLACE

Product Designer

BACKGROUND

This project was undertaken during my time at PT. Laffa Kita Berjaya, also known as Payitaz. Fattih is a marketplace with a unique and innovative concept for its time, though, unfortunately, I cannot disclose the details here. The project itself had a straightforward process, as it came with a well-defined concept.

The biggest challenge in this project was aligning ideas, as it involved collaboration among multiple designers, with me serving as the team leader. Another significant hurdle was ensuring seamless communication with developers regarding the implementation mechanisms, especially given the tight deadline.

Despite these challenges, the team and I successfully completed the project on time, demonstrating effective teamwork, adaptability, and clear communication throughout the process.

DESIGN HIGH FIDELITY

The development process for this project began with a brainstorming session to refine and expand on the core ideas and concept of Fattih. Once the concept was solidified, we moved on to logo creation—a particularly enjoyable phase of the project. Our team generated several compelling ideas and concepts, which led to extensive discussions and iterations. Ultimately, the selected logo for Fattih stood out as a strong representation of the brand and its unique identity.

For the design development, I initiated the process by conducting comprehensive research, including competitor analysis, to gain insights into whether similar concepts already existed and, if so, how they had executed their flows. This research also allowed me to understand user perspectives and experiences, as I believe it is crucial to step into the users' shoes when developing a product. By adopting this user-centric approach, I could anticipate potential challenges and issues that users might encounter, ensuring the design effectively addressed their needs and expectations.s

Conclusion

To be honest, I am not fully aware of the overall success metrics for this project, as I was no longer part of the team at Paykitaz after my departure. However, based on the research I conducted through interviews with a few Paykitaz employees and feedback from individuals outside the organization, the consensus was overwhelmingly positive. They expressed that the flow and UI developed by my team and I were highly intuitive and user-friendly, which is a testament to the thoughtful design and collaborative effort that went into the project.
